Suspended Drunk Driver Arrested - CONN

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - On February 20, 2018, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Elginfield Road, near Clarke Road.

Officers determined that the 54-year-old male driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests. The breath tests revealed that the driver had more than three (3) times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.

As a result of the police investigation, Thomas CONN, of Thames Centre, Ontario, has been charged with Driving While Ability impaired and Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC). The accused was also charged with Driving While Under Suspension, pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on March 26, 2018.
