(Sioux Lookout, ON) On May 7, 2018, members of the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were flagged down by a female driving a truck. The female was 36 years old from Sachigo Lake First Nation. The female advised the officers that the reason she flagged them down was she wished to tell on her drug dealer as she was not happy with the product that they had sold her.

While officers were speaking with the female, they observed her to be impaired from the consumption of alcohol and arrested her for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The female was transported to the Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment where she provided samples of her breath to police. It was determined that the female had almost twice the legal amount of alcohol in her blood.

The female was charged with:

Impaired operation of a motor vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a)
Operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood contrary to section 253(1)(b)

Failing to properly display her licence plate contrary to section 7(1)(b)(i) of the Highway Traffic Act
Failing to surrender her driver's licence contrary to section 33(1) of the Highway Traffic Act
The female was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Sioux Lookout court on 26 June 2018 to answer to her charges.
