(KENORA, ON) - On May 12, 2018 at approximately 12:43 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision, with no injuries on 17A Highway.
Upon arrival police determined the male driver had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested and transported for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, 45 year old Jason ORVIS of Lockport Manitoba has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
Driving While Ability Impaired (Alcohol) contrary to section 253(1)(a) and
Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b)
The accused is to appear in Kenora Criminal Court on May 31, 2018 to answer to the charges.
