(ORANGEVILLE, ON) - On Friday May 18, 2018 the Dufferin Nottawasaga Community Street Crime Unit and Orangeville executed a search warrant for drugs at a residence on Lawrence Avenue in Town of Orangeville. The Central Region OPP Emergency Response Team also assisted in this incident
Police seized a quantity of cocaine and oxycodone as well as various pieces of drug paraphernalia, prohibited weapons and a small quantity of cash.
Jessica O'LAUGHIN , 34 years of age of Orangeville was arrested and charged with Possession for Purpose of Trafficking of Cocaine contrary to Controlled Drugs and Substance Act section 5(2). Craig STOREY, 37 years of age, of Orangeville was arrested and charged with Possession for Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Opioid, Adult Trafficking in Cocaine all contrary to Controlled Drug and Substance act. He stands also charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Prohibited Weapons both contrary to Criminal Code of Canada.
Both accused were released on a Promise to Appear returnable to June 25, 2018 in Orangeville Ontario Court of Justice.
This is a great example of two local police services working together and bringing an investigation to a successful conclusion
