(PERTH EAST, ON) - Wheels will be spinning the Township of Perth East tomorrow-little wheels, that is. On Saturday, July 7, 2018, members of the Perth East Public Library. Mornington Optimist Club and the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be hosting a bicycle rodeo at 25 Mill Street, West in Milverton.

The event begins at the Township office at 11:00 a.m. Bicycle safety including helmet use and hand signals will be reviewed, and riders will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on the obstacle course.

In addition to the rodeo, a photo booth, face painting, a water station, crafts, prizes and a barbecue will be available. There is no cost for the event and all family members are encouraged to attend.

"The Perth County OPP is proud to partner with our communities to host such important and fun filled events for our young people. The smiles that we see when these little riders complete an obstacle course are absolutely priceless. These events not only provide an opportunity to remind our children about bicycle safety, they serve to strengthen our communities." Provincial Constable Laura Brown, Community Safety & Media Relations Officer, Perth County OPP.

Parking will be available at the Perth East Public Library. For the safety of all rodeo participants, no vehicular traffic will be permitted in the Township parking lot.
