Missing Person Found Deceased In Owen Sound

On June 9, 2018, Mr. Terry Shope was reported missing to the Owen Sound Police Service.

On Sunday, July 8, 2018, at approximately 11:30 a.m, a deceased man was located along the east shoreline of the 1700 block of 1 st Avenue East of the Owen Sound Bay.

The Coronerís Office was notified and attended the scene where the man had been located.

A post mortem examination will be conducted on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in London, Ontario.

The deceased man has been identified as Mr. Terry Shope, of Owen Sound.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released by the Owen Sound Police Service.

The Owen Sound Police Service would like to thank the public and the media for their help in sharing information during the search for Mr. Shope.
