Business Owner Assaulted - John HEERINGA Arrested

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) - On July 13, 2018 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a business on Toronto Road in the Municipality of Grey Highlands after receiving a report that the owner of the business was assaulted by an unknown male. The 50-year old male victim was not injured.
As a result of the investigation, police were able to identify the suspect who was arrested later that evening.
35-year old Richard John HEERINGA of the Municipality of Grey Highlands was charged with assault.
He is scheduled to appear in court on August 9, 2018 in Owen Sound.
