During the week of July 9, 2018 - July 15, 2018, there were 121 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.



There were six motor vehicle collisions, two were animal related.



There were six domestic dispute calls for service and there were two domestic related incidents involving criminal code charges.



Domestic Assault Charge

On Wednesday July 11, 2018 at approximately 9:03 am, Constable Julie McPeak and Constable Jason MacDougall responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Bonnechere Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 35 yr. old male from Bonnechere Valley Twp. was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault with a Weapon, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear, with a court date of Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 9:30 am, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.



On Sunday July 15, 2018 at approximately 8:30 pm, members of the Killaloe OPP Detachment responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Madawaska Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 44 yr. old male from Madawaska Valley Twp. was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear, with a court date of Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 9:30 am, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.



Impaired Charges

On Friday July 13, 2018 at approximately 8:39 pm, Constable Julie McPeak and Constable Kyle Fabian responded to a possible impaired driver on Highway 60, Algonquin Provincial Park. Police located a female who had been drinking alcohol. As a result of police investigation, 52 yr. old Barbara WOLFE of Burlington has been charged with Refuse To Provide Breath Sample, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of Wednesday August 8, 2018 at 9:30 am, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The licence was suspended and the vehicle towed.



Stolen Boat and Trailer

On Sunday July 15, 2018 at approximately 11:17 am, Killaloe OPP Constable Julie McPeak and Sgt. Dillon Gerundin responded to a theft call on Highway 60, North Algona Wilberforce Twp. An aluminum boat and trailer that was stored on the property was stolen. Police are reviewing video footage. This incident remains under investigation.



Theft of Outboard Motor

On Monday July 9, 2018 at approximately 11:56 am, Killaloe OPP received a theft at a residence on Boyle Lane, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. A Johnson 15 horse power motor was reported stolen. This incident remains under investigation.



Break and Enter

On Monday July 9, 2018 at approximately 7:16 am, Killaloe OPP Constable Ryan Lapierre responded to a break and enter at a logging site on Major Lake Road, South Algonquin Twp. Entry was forced into a storage trailer. Multiple tools were reported stolen. The OPP Forensic Identification Unit responded to collect evidence. This incident remains under investigation.
