Fatal Collision On Hwy 15Source: OPP

(LEEDS, ON.) - Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing an investigation into a collision that claimed the life of a woman.
On August 7, 2018 at about 3:45 AM O.P.P officers from the Rideau Lakes Detachment responded to a collision on Highway 15, just north of Portland in Rideau Lakes Township. Investigation revealed that a northbound vehicle and a southbound vehicle collided.
A female died as a result of her injuries. The other driver was taken to hospital in Kingston with injuries.
Highway 15 between County Road 5 and Cedar Valley Road remains closed while members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit conduct their investigation.
A further release will be provided as the investigation continues.
