Assault Investigation In Markdale - 18 Year Old Arrested

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) - On August 16, 2018 at 8:27 a.m. Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a residence at Toronto Street East, Grey Highlands for a male with injuries. Grey County officers arrived on the scene and a second male party was arrested and taken into custody. The injured male was transported hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have charged 18-year-old male, Slade RUSSELL of Grey Highlands with Aggravated Assault section 268 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused remains in custody and will have a bail hearing at Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on August 20, 2018.
Members of the Grey County and Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Units continue to investigate the occurrence.
