(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) - The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 246 calls for service from Friday August 31, 2018 to Tuesday September 4, 2018.



DOMESTIC - ASSAULT

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) - On September 1, 2018 at approximately 11:30am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a domestic disturbance in North Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that an adult male had assaulted his wife. Further information also revealed that the male had caused damage to the victim's property and prevented her from leaving the residence.

A 36 Year-old male of North Dundas was arrested and is charged with;

- Assault

- Mischief

- Forcible Confinement

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on September 11, 2018.

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.



DOMESTIC - MISCHIEF

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) - On September 1, 2018 at approximately 9:57pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a domestic disturbance in South Glengarry Township.

Investigation indicated that an adult male had caused damage to the victim's property.

A 55 Year-old male of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

- Mischief

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on September 25, 2018.

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.



DOMESTIC - ASSAULT

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) - On September 2, 2018 at approximately 3:39am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a domestic disturbance in South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that an adult male had assaulted his girlfriend. Further information also revealed that the male had caused damage to the victim's property and was breaching previous release conditions.

A 34 Year-old male of South Stormont was arrested and is charged with;

- Assault - Causing Bodily Harm

- Mischief

- Fail To Comply with Probation Order

He was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court.

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.





IMPAIRED BY DRUG

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) - On September 2, 2018 at approximately 6:34am, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle rollover collision on County Road 31, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of a drug.

Robert McIntyre (36) of North Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

- Drive a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by a Drug

-Fail to comply with conditions of an Undertaking ( 2 counts)

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.





EXCESSIVE SPEEDS



(SD&G) - On August 31- September 4, 2018 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the driver's permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy and were all charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

- August 31, 2018 - 2:04pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 158km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver- (31) from: Quebec.



- August 31, 2018 - 11:15pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 170km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (27) from: Toronto, Ontario.

- September 1, 2018 - 1:50pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped traveling 155km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (18) from: Pointe-Claire, Quebec.

- September 1, 2018 - 10:06pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 215km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (20) from: Ontario.

- September 2, 2018 - 1:01am (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 179km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (31) from: North York, Ontario.

- September 2, 2018 - 2:16am (South Stormont); vehicle stopped traveling 183km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (20) from: Ontario.

- September 2, 2018 - 6:37pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 153km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (74) from: Indianapolis.

- September 3, 2018 - 1:21am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 164km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (21) from: Quebec.

- September 3, 2018 - 12:04am (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 161km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (37) from: Sainte-Genevieve, Quebec.
