Police arrived on the scene to find a male pinned under his mobility scooter in a crosswalk. EMS and Owen Sound Fire Service attended to assist. The investigation revealed that the male had been travelling east bound on 16 th Street East crossing the entrance to the mall with the right of way. A vehicle exiting the mall struck the male within the crosswalk causing the scooter to topple.

The pedestrian extracted from the scooter and transported to Owen Sound hospital for non life threatening injuries. The driver of the car was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
