2018 Municipal and School Board Election Important Information - Brockton

The Municipality of Brockton will be using Internet and Telephone Voting for the 2018 Municipal and School Board Election. Paper ballots will not be used. Electors can vote anytime and anywhere with internet or telephone access between Monday, October 15 at 8:30 a.m. and Monday, October 22 at 8:00 p.m.

Voter Information Letters

Voter Information Letters for all electors have been mailed. The letters include a Voter ID and PIN that will be required to vote online or by telephone. The Voter Information Letter describes how to vote and includes a complete list of all candidates for the 2018 Municipal and School Board Elections.

If you have not received your letter by October 4, 2018, please contact the Municipal Office Voter Helpline at 519-881-2223 Ext. 138 or 1-877-885-8084 Ext. 138 or email elections@brockton.ca. If you do not receive your letter, or the information on your Voter Information letter is incorrect, please visit the Municipal Office, a Voter Help Centre, or call our Voter Helpline before you begin voting.

Mail Tampering - Criminal Offence and Prosecution

The Criminal Code of Canada states that tampering with the mail of an individual is a criminal offence that carries a maximum prison term of ten (10) years. Any person that votes more than once, or who improperly uses the Voter Information Letter shall be reported to the Ontario Provincial Police for further investigation.
