Pick-up In Ditch Leads To Drunk Driving Charge

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On Saturday October 6, 2018 at approximately 9:24 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a blue pick-up truck in the ditch with an intoxicated male driver on Wellington Road 18 near Wellington Road 26 in Centre Wellington Township.
After a brief investigation and speaking with the driver, he was placed under arrest for impaired driving and taken to a local OPP Operation Centre for further processing.
44-year-old Michael LAMB of Scotland has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 30, 2018.
