Cocaine Bust In Exeter - 17 Year Old From A-C-W & Kesha WEITZEL Charged

(GODERICH & EXETER, ON) - A drug trafficking investigation conducted by the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) has resulted in police seizing illegal drugs and laying a number drug trafficking charges against some local residents.

Last night(18Oct) around 9:00 p.m. members from the Huron-Perth CSCU completed a traffic stop in Exeter whereupon a search of a target's vehicle was conducted. Police seized cocaine and the vehicle, a 2006 model minivan, valued at $8,000. A young male driver and a female passenger were arrested at the scene and taken into custody without incident.

The driver, a 17-year-old young male from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking and Drive Motor Vehicle - No Licence. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 1, 2018 at the Ontario Youth Justice Court - Goderich.

The passenger, Kesha WEITZEL, 24 years of age from Goderich has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking. She remains in custody.

Following the traffic stop, police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant this morning at the passenger's Goderich residence. As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized Cocaine, MDMA (Ecstasy) and Methamphetamine.

The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances is $2,030.

Charges are pending against two additional adults that were found in the residence. They will be summonsed to court for a November court date.
