Two Arrested For Impaired Offences Within 45 Minutes Of Each Other

Members of the Owen Sound Police Service responded to two separate driving complaints within the city between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. As a result of the investigations two people were taken into custody in relation to being impaired.

A 41 year old Owen Sound woman was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation with over 80mgs of Alcohol as she had over twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system.

The driver will make her first court appearance November 1 st in Owen Sound.

A 56 year old local area man was arrested after failing a Standard Field Sobriety Test in relation to being impaired by drugs, with the driver acknowledging that he was under the influence of his prescribed medication. The continued investigation resulted in his Driver’s Licence being suspended
for a period of 3 days.

Police believe that at least one parked motor vehicle was struck in the parking lot of a business situated along 16 th Street East between the Mark’s and The Home Depot. Specifically a yellow Ford Mustang is believed to have been a damaged vehicle.
