Fatal Collision Near Centralia

(SOUTH HURON, ON) - Members from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment are currently on scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash that took place earlier this morning east of Centralia.
At approximately 7:20 a.m. Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and South Huron Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the crash scene located on Whalen Line east of London Road (Highway 4) after a passerby discovered a heavily damaged vehicle off the roadway in a field.
The lone occupant, a male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Whalen Line between London Road (Highway 4) and Morrison Line will be closed for the next several hours while investigators from the OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) Team investigate. Please use an alternate route to avoid delays.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld until next-of-kin notification has been completed.
