(HURON EAST, ON) - A West Perth resident is facing a number of drug related charges following a traffic stop conducted by Huron Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) early yesterday morning.

At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018 a Huron County OPP officer observed two vehicles parked side by side in the middle of Tile Road. While watching the vehicles the officer noted the one vehicle driver attempted an unsafe move on the roadway. This prompted the officer to initiate a traffic stop and speak to the driver.

Additionally, police seized Canadian currency, drug packaging materials, a weigh scale and a "slim-jim" tool designed to open locked vehicle doors.

Further investigation also revealed the driver was breaching a condition of his court release.
