22 Year Old Has Vehicle Impounded For 7 Days

(TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON) - On Tuesday December 4, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 7, south of Rothsay. The officer observed a female driving a black sedan at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 130 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by 50 km/h.
22-year-old Hannah Mercedes McCUSKER of Kitchener has been charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on January 16, 2019. Her driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
