(GODERICH, ON) - A call to police this week about a suspicious vehicle ended up leading to the arrest of a wanted male by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

At approximately 7:39 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 Huron OPP officers received a call about a suspicious vehicle with two occupants inside that was parked at the Bruce Street apartment complex.

Police attended the location and found a male and a female sleeping inside the vehicle. Upon speaking with the male passenger police identified him and learned the male was currently wanted by Huron OPP and Wingham Police Service.

The male was directed out of his vehicle and when the officer attempted to place the male under arrest he resisted arrest and took off running from the officer. The male was unable to escape this time and was taken into custody.
