Public Calls For Criminal Investigations To Firehall Sale & Million Dollar Bailey/MacClan Scam - Taxes To Skyrocket Amid Real Estate Scams/Frauds
Source: WFPDate: Wed Feb 6 03:58:11 MST 2019
North Huron council is facing calls for criminal investigations to the extremely controversial sale of the ESTC center in Blyth and Knights Of Columbus “contract”.
Estimates for the new Blyth firehall are about $2.9 million, and we all know that will at least double before completion. After betraying the Public and selling the ESTC for 2 million(ish), the Public will be forced to throw in another $3 million to build the firehall. Of course the firehall won’t have the training centre, so we are forced to pay $3,000,000 to downgrade a firehall and we will likely lose another ball diamond. All this so their buddies could have the land the ESTC is on.
As most of you already know the knights of columbus never paid their $550,000 pledge for building the complex. In fact they now owe $779,000.00 on their pledge due to the fact they haven’t even covered the interest on the pledge. This “mac clan” scam conned Winghamites into building the Rec Center in the first place costing Winghamites nearly $1,000,000/year while directing all funds to the “mac clan” nearly bankrupting Wingham. To make things worse they get free rent, free natural gas, free water and sewer and get to pocket all the revenue for extremely lucrative events such as New Years, Stag and Does, rentals, etc.
It would be better if KOC Hall was given away for free to someone, since the portion of the property would now pay property tax of about $30,000/year instead of costing the taxpayers.
