(SOUTH HURON, ON) - A compact bar fridge has been returned to its owner and a 25-year-old Exeter resident is now facing charges following an incident that took place over the weekend south of Dashwood.

On February 10, 2019 at 4:41 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a break, enter and theft that was in progress on Bronson Line. The property owner reported to police he was pulling up to his property when he noticed a suspicious vehicle parked near his trailer. The quick thinking victim snapped a photo of the suspect vehicle and immediately contacted police. Moments later a male suspect exited the trailer with a compact bar fridge. He quickly put it in the back seat and drove away.

Police immediately began patrolling for the suspect vehicle and approximately 10 - 15 minutes later an officer observed the suspect vehicle pull into a property located in Huron Park. After some further investigation police arrested the male suspect. A search of the vehicle was later conducted which led police to recovering the stolen fridge.

Kevin CAMPBELL, 25 years of age from Exeter has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and Break & Enter Commit Indictable Offence. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 28, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Exeter.
