(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - March 26, 2019 at approximately 4:00 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Wellington North Fire Services responded to a structure fire on Line 6 near Damascus, Ontario. It was reported that a propane tank recycling shop was engulfed in fire and that a person had suffered injuries.
A male employee in his 50's was air lifted to a trauma centre and is considered to be in stable condition despite receiving third degree burns to over 30% of his body.
Wellington North Fire Service contained and extinguished the fire and has notified the Office of the Fire Marshal (O.F.M.)
The incident is still under investigation.
