19 Year Old Caught Going 140 in an 80

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On November 5, 2019, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 7 near the hamlet of Ponsonby. The officer observed a red pick-up truck travelling above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 140 km/h.

As a result, Riley Wade STRUB, 19-years-old of Centre Wellington has been charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario Court of Justice - Provincial Offences Court on February 20, 2020
