Man Arrested After Man Hit In Head With Metal Bar

(SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON) - On February 25, 2020 at 6:46 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a residence at Cameron Drive, Saugeen First Nation after a male was hit in the head with a metal bar.
OPP officers attended and located a male who had an injury to his head. The victim was transported by ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
During the investigation, officers arrested the male suspect who struck the victim.
Grey Bruce OPP have charged 47 year old, Jason PETONOQUOT from Saugeen First Nation with assault with a weapon, section 267(a) Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on March 18, 2020.
