Pedestrian Struck In Wingham Hit And Run

(NORTH HURON, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently on scene of a fail to remain collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian that has taken place at the north end of Wingham.

At approximately 2:13 p.m. (11Mar) Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire Department responded to a crash involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian located on Josephine Street (Huron County #4) near B Line Road.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently receiving treatment for undetermined injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck failed to remain at the scene of the crash.

Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team members are on scene assisting with the collision investigation.

Huron OPP has closed down the roadway for the collision investigation.
