Arson Investigation Near Bayfield

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), including members from the Huron OPP Crime Unit continue to investigate an arson that took place north of Bayfield this past weekend.
Shortly before 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2020 Central Huron Fire Department and Huron County OPP officers responded to a commercial property located at the intersection of Bluewater Veteran's Highway and Bayfield Road after receiving calls about a fully engulfed fire at the property.
Investigators determined three brand new mobile homes, each valued at approximately $100,000 were intentionally set on fire. All three unoccupied homes were completely destroyed by fire.
Investigators are seeking tips from the public to help identify the suspects involved.
