More Stunt Drivers Charged

(NORTH PERTH, ON) - Three drivers have had their licences suspended after they were charged for stunt driving by Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on Saturday afternoon.

The first stop was at 12:30 p.m. on July 4 2020, on Perth Line 72 in the Municipality of North Perth. A vehicle was observed travelling in excess of 130km/h in the posted 80km/h zone.

The driver, Joseph LINDSAY, 33, of Huron East, was charged with:

Race a Motor Vehicle - Excessive Speed


The second incident was just before 2:00 p.m. on July 4 2020, on Perth Road 140 in the Municipality of North Perth. A vehicle was observed travelling in excess of 140km/h in the posted 80km/h zone.

The driver, Luis GOMEZ CERON, 33, of Cambridge, was charged with:

Race a Motor Vehicle - Excessive Speed


The third incident occurred just after 4:00 p.m. on July 4 2020, on Perth Road 140 in the Municipality of North Perth. Another vehicle was observed travelling in excess of 140km/h in the posted 80km/h zone.

The driver, Emanuel TAPAK, 25, of London, was charged with:

Race a Motor Vehicle - Excessive Speed


All three had their driver's licences suspended for seven days, as per statute, and their vehicles were towed from the scene and impounded for seven days. The accused parties are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
