Repeat Offender Charged - Stolen ATV Recovered - WILD

(GODERICH, ON) - A Goderich resident is facing criminal charges and a date in court after police recovered a stolen All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) yesterday morning at a residence in Goderich.

On July 16, 2020 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an ATV that was stolen overnight from a drive shed located on Lucknow Line.

Through some investigation members from the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) were able to track down the whereabouts of the stolen machine. On Tuesday, July 21, 2020 a search warrant was executed at a residence located on Cambria Road North and members of the CSCU were successful in recovering the stolen ATV valued at approximately $4,000.

Some checks on the accused revealed she was currently serving a probation sentence and was failing to comply with a condition of her sentence.

Katie WILD, 35 years of age from Goderich has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 5, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
