Collision Near Vanastra - Serious Injuries

(BLUEWATER, ON) - Officers from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment are currently on scene of a crash involving a side-by-side utility vehicle (UTV) that has taken place west of Vanastra.
This evening, just after 7:00 p.m., Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and Brucefield Fire Department responded to the crash scene located on Short Horn Road just east of Bannockburn Line.
This investigation is in its early stages but it is believed the driver of the UTV collided with a fertilizer truck that was parked on the side of the road.
The driver was transported to hospital by ambulance and currently remains in hospital with serious injuries.
A section of Short Horn Road east of Bannockburn Line remains closed for the collision investigation.
