Repeat Offender Caught With Methamphetamine - Anthony DILLON

(HURON COUNTY, ON) - A resident of Lucknow is facing several criminal charges following an investigation by members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at approximately 10:38 a.m. a Huron OPP officer was in the Town of Wingham when he observed a sport utility vehicle that matched the description of a stolen GMC Yukon.

The officer was able to confirm the vehicle was stolen however the driver took off and fled from the officer. The officer did not pursue the stolen vehicle however following some investigation police were able to identify the involved driver and he was located later that afternoon in the Town of Goderich.

At approximately 2:00 p.m. officers arrested the suspect on East Street in the Town of Goderich for possession of the stolen vehicle. Upon arrest officers searched the accused and found him to be in possession of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. The stolen sport utility vehicle was recovered in close vicinity to the accused.

Anthony DILLON, 35 years of age from Lucknow has been charged with the following offences:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Theft Under $5,000
Fail to Comply with Probation Order - 3 Counts
Fail to Comply with Release Order - Other than to Attend Court
Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine


He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 26, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich
