Methamphetamine Bust - Kyle LENSSEN

(SOUTH HURON, ON) - An arrest by members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment has put a dent in the local supply of Fentanyl.

On October 8, 2020 at approximately 9:36 p.m. Huron OPP officers were engaged in community patrols in Exeter when they came noticed a man acting suspiciously on Victoria Street West. The officer attempted to speak with the individual however he immediately took off running through several residential backyards on William Street. After a short chase police located and took the suspect into custody.

A search incident to arrest found the accused to be in possession of Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $14,790. Additionally, the accused was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

Kyle LENSSEN, 33 years of age from West Perth has been charged with Trespassing at Night, Fail to Comply With Release Order (2 counts), Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl) for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine and Resist Peace Officer.

The accused remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 23, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
