(HURON EAST, ON) - A Central Huron resident remains in custody on several charges connected to an incident that took place in Vanastra last week.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m. on November 10, 2020 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a St. Charles Place address to assist a victim that had just made a citizen's arrest of a thief that was attempting to steal his licence plates. During the incident the accused assaulted the victim causing a minor injury to the victim.
Further investigation revealed the accused was driving a stolen pickup truck that had been taken from a business in Goderich earlier that morning.
