Hammer Attack - Kyle TODD Arrested

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) - On November 19, 2020 at 6:23 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a non-traffic collision incident on Highway 21, near Concession 7, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Two vehicles travelling on Highway 21 were involved in an interaction. One of the vehicles stopped ahead of the other. The driver exited his vehicle and threw a claw hammer through the front window of the other vehicle as it approached, striking an occupant in the chest and causing broken glass to fall on several people inside the vehicle.

The victims were treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of this investigation, Grey Bruce OPP have charged Kyle TODD, 29 years-of-age, from Allenford, ON with the following offences:

Three counts of assault with a weapon, section 267(a) Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
Mischief under $5,000., section 430(4) CC
Mischief - destroys or damages property, section 430(1)(a) CC


The accused was held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on November 20, 2020.
