"Ontario Provincial Police is committed to preserving public safety. The Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) is a valuable intermediate use of force option that can be used in situations, taking into account the totality of the circumstances, and the imminent need to control an individual. The actions of our officers defused a highly aggressive individual from possibly harming a member of the public, an officer or themselves. "
