Police attended and located the suspect near the restaurant. OPP officers deployed a Conducted Energy Weapon during the arrest of the suspect.

The accused was been released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 14, 2021.

"Ontario Provincial Police is committed to preserving public safety. The Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) is a valuable intermediate use of force option that can be used in situations, taking into account the totality of the circumstances, and the imminent need to control an individual. The actions of our officers defused a highly aggressive individual from possibly harming a member of the public, an officer or themselves. "
