Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 119 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eight person was arrested and two were on outstanding warrants.

Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24012291

On December 1, 2023, a warrant was issued for the man’s arrest when he failed to make a court appearance related to an impaired driving investigation.

On March 19, 2024, at 8:54 a.m., the 25-year-old Leamington man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself into the police. He was held pending a bail hearing.

At 10:38 a.m., police responded to a family dispute on Vanier Drive in Chatham.
Upon arrival officers located the man in the driveway of the home. Investigation revealed that on March 14, 2024, the court released the man with conditions prohibiting him from attending that address, communicating with the resident, being within a specific distance of the resident and to reside at a specific address. The man was found to be breaking these conditions.
Further investigation revealed the resident was allowing the man the man to communicate and reside with her knowing he was bound by conditions.
The 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with five counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
The 54-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with facilitating a breach of a release order. She was arrested, transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of April 22, 2024.
Man Arrested for Bail Violations CK24012310
At 10:49 a.m., police responded to a family dispute on McGuigan Avenue in Chatham.
Officers arrived on the scene and located the man outside the home. Investigation revealed the man was bound by a form of release with conditions prohibiting him from communicating with the residents and only attending the home once to retrieve his personal belongings. The man was found to be breaking these conditions.
Further investigation revealed the man was wanted on two outstanding warrants for failing to attend court and an October 15, 2023, bail violation investigation.
The 42-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested, transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, mischief, three counts of uttering threats and four counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
Man Arrested for Probation Violation CK24012333

At 1:17 p.m. police located the man on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The 43-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He has been charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24012335

At 1:40 p.m. The Chatham-Kent Police were advised the man, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, was in custody at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia.

The 49-year-old Chatham-Kent man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing. He is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, mischief, two counts of theft and two counts of possession of stolen property.

At 8:21 p.m., the man attended police headquarters and turned himself into the police. The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court related to a prohibited driving charge.

The 54-year-old Chatham man was arrested, processed, and released with conditions and a future court date of April 22, 2024.
