Drug Bust 2 Arrested

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) Police arrested and charged two people with drug related offences.
On June 6, 2024, members from the Community Street Crime (CSC) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), executed a Controlled Drug Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on King Street, West Nipissing.
A search of the residence led to the seizure of drug paraphernalia, Canadian and U.S. currency, digital scales, air gun and drugs suspected to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, opioid and cocaine.
As a result of the investigation, two people have been arrested, Chantel DUCHANE, 42-years-of-age, from West Nipissing and Darcy YOUNG, 32-years-of-age from Garden Village Nipissing First Nation, both were charged with:
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking three counts
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Production of anything for use in, production of/trafficking in, schedule I or schedule III substance
Both accused were released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 3, 2023, in North Bay.
