More Impaired Drivers Arrested Names Released

(ORILLIA, ON) Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified by members of the public of driving behaviours that indicated an individual was possibly driving impaired on Highway 11 southbound in Oro-Medonte Township. Officers were dispatched to a separate incident of a motor vehicle collision on county road 169 in Ramara Township. In both incidents officers entered impaired driving investigations.
On June 3, 2025, at approximately 4:16 a.m., officers from the Orillia detachment of the OPP were notified by the public of a possible impaired driver on Highway 11 southbound, in the township of Oro-Medonte. Officers observed the vehicles driving and were led into an impaired driving investigation where one individual was charged with impaired related charges.
As a result, Jeffrey ALFORD; 35-year-old, from Fort Erie, ON. has been subsequently charged with:
Operation while impaired by alcohol
Drive Motor Vehicle not equipped with ignition interlock device
Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
Failure to comply with release order
Drive while under suspension
Failure or refusal to comply with demand
Furthermore, at approximately 10:49 p.m., officers from the Orillia detachment of the OPP were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision in a ditch on County Road 169, in Ramara Township. After arriving on scene officers were again led into an impaired driving investigation where one individual provided samples of breath more than two times the legal limit. The accused was charged with impaired related charges.
As a result, Louise MAPP; 59-year-old, from Hamilton Township, ON. has been subsequently charged with:
Operation while impaired by alcohol
Operation while impaired 80 plus
Subsequently the drivers in both instances licences were suspended for 90 days and their vehicles were impounded for 7 days.
